- Views of the family cabins on ridges above you
- Stone steps and bridges
- Access to the North Lookout Tower about midway through the trail
- Abe Martin Lodge is at the trailhead complete with restrooms, dining, lodging, and a gift shop
Options: Trail 2 connects to Trail 1 and Trail 3 near the lodge. Both are short loops with moderate hiking conditions. Trail 1 is just under a mile while Trail 3 is about 1.25 miles.
Best For: A mid-length afternoon hike with varied views. Chipmunks and squirrels abound.
Our Experience: Trail 2 has a little of everything, including wooden bridges, stone stairs, and mostly-dry creek beds. If you want a moderate challenge, this is a great pick. Since it begins and ends at the Lodge, you’ll have a great excuse for stopping in to do a little gift shopping or enjoy a meal at the Little Gem Restaurant after your trip.
