57th Annual Covington 4th of July

Covington’s Independence Day celebration lasts for an entire week from June 28th to July 4. You’ll find midway rides, bingo games, live entertainment, and a car and tractor show to keep you entertained. Event admission is free, but you’ll need a wristband for the rides. Grab a Mega Band early to get six nights of unlimited rides for just $50.

Star Spangled Symphony

White River State Park, 801 West Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra will play a patriotic concert on The Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn at White River State Park the Friday before Independence Day. The concert begins at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 for general admission lawn seating, or $30 for reserved seats.

Liberty 4th of July Festival

5 West High Street, Liberty, IN 47353

The 4th of July celebration in Liberty lasts from June 30 through July 2. The local fire departments will have a waterball contest Friday night. The Annual Freedom Run takes place Saturday morning, a 4th of July parade will head down Union Street Saturday evening, and you’ll find a chalk art competition decorating the streets Sunday morning. Cedar Lake Summerfest

From June 30 to July 4, you can enjoy live entertainment, midway games, bingo, a boat parade, a car show, and more at the Cedar Lake Summerfest. Parking is just $5 and the festival is free, but you’ll want to bring a little cash for the crafts vendors and fair food.

Linton Freedom Festival

The Linton Freedom Festival takes place from July 1 through July 8. Highlights include a classic car show, carnival midway, and live music. On the 4th of July, you can start your celebration with the National Anthem at 9:45 a.m. Meet the festival royalty in the evening, listen to a patriotic concert, and wrap up your night with fireworks.

Abraham Lincoln Freedom Festival

The Rockport Freedom Festival offers a historic way to celebrate the fourth. Visit the Lincoln Pioneer Village and Museum for entertainment, food, and vendors. Catch the car show during the day and wrap up with fireworks in the evening.

Independence Day Social

Step back in time with the Independence Day Social at Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site. Play croquet or hoops and graces on the lawn, grab a $3 ice cream cone, and pen your name on the Declaration of Independence. Kids will get a Passport to History to guide them through the activities and crafts at this free family friendly event.

IPL Downtown Freedom Fest

Free live entertainment, kids activities, and local vendors will keep you busy as the sun sets. Once dark descends, you can catch the downtown fireworks from a great viewing spot at the Indiana War Memorial. The show will sync with music on B105.7, 97.1 HANK FM, and 93.1 WIBC.

Pekin 4th of July Celebration

The Pekin 4th of July Celebration bills itself as the oldest consecutive Independence Day celebration in the country. Celebrating its 187th year in 2017, this event has perfected the art of the patriotic event. Festivities include a parade, carnival, flea market, and live entertainment. You’ll find plenty of food vendors to keep your belly full and a fireworks display to cap off the night.

Fort Wayne 4th of July Fireworks

Catch the Fort Wayne TinCaps baseball team Tuesday evening for old-fashioned American fun at the ballpark. The fireworks will kick off at 10:00 p.m., or the conclusion of the game if it runs past ten. Settle in for a laid-back evening for the fourth.
