Covington’s Independence Day celebration lasts for an entire week from June 28th to July 4. You’ll find midway rides, bingo games, live entertainment, and a car and tractor show to keep you entertained. Event admission is free, but you’ll need a wristband for the rides. Grab a Mega Band early to get six nights of unlimited rides for just $50.

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra will play a patriotic concert on The Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn at White River State Park the Friday before Independence Day. The concert begins at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 for general admission lawn seating, or $30 for reserved seats.

The 4th of July celebration in Liberty lasts from June 30 through July 2. The local fire departments will have a waterball contest Friday night. The Annual Freedom Run takes place Saturday morning, a 4th of July parade will head down Union Street Saturday evening, and you’ll find a chalk art competition decorating the streets Sunday morning.
